In my time as a Junior Graphics Assistant intern for the company tastylive (the media and social platform supporting the trading platform tastytrade) I was given many projects at the same time and learned very quickly how to juggle multitasking. These projects ranged anywhere from art card creation for online and live touring event thumbnails, to versioning pre-created media (into email, display ad, live show banner, social, and website specific sizes), to retouching talent photos for website headshots and thumbnails. The company allowed me more creative freedom than the average intern, and I worked in both lead and junior designer positions.

Each task required precision, patience, and adherence to company guidelines that had to be followed to a T in order to keep the branding consistent and the quality top notch. I learned the importance of throwing ideas at the wall and seeing what stuck, communicating effectively and often, and taking as many creative risks as are allowed within the restrictions in order to create work that felt new despite elements often being recycled. I also became more comfortable making calculated mistakes and not being too attached to early ideas, allowing the creative process to run its full course.
